Discover Our Journey Through Time

1997
Kariera S.A. was founded in 1997 by Theofilos Vassiliadis and Fanis Rigas, two fellow graduate students at Athens University of Business and Economics, who launched a free press magazine about careers for young graduates.
1999
The team organized the first Career Fair for young professionals in Greece.
2000
  • kariera.gr is launched on Valentine’s Day to seek for the perfect match between employers and candidates.
  • Our company gets awarded for its Business Excellence by the President of Greece.
2002
kariera.gr publishes the first Career Guide book.
2007

CareerBuilder L.L.C. acquires kariera.gr which gets technologically enhanced in order to provide both candidates and employers with a user-friendly environment, a continuous improvement of services, and the introduction of new features.

2010
kariera.gr hosts the first Interview Days Fairs: sector-specific career fairs, including Developers Day, aimed at IT professionals.
2014
kariera.gr along with AUEB conduct the biggest research in a European country for Gen Y Workforce upcoming trends.
2016
Coding School is born, powered by kariera.gr; An innovative hub exclusively for IT professionals looking to build a career, get educated in new technologies, and connect to relative employers.
2019
kariera.gr wins the Gold Award at Hellenic Responsible Business Awards for “Fighting Unemployment” initiatives.
2020
kariera.gr Wins Big
kariera.gr is awarded with 4 Responsible Business Awards for Sustainable Development business actions. Moreover, Developers Day Digital gets a Gold Award at Event Awards 2020 for Best Pivot From Physical to Virtual.
kariera.gr's Strategic Acquisition
kariera.gr has been acquired by a Greek investor group that includes one of its founders, Mr. Theofilos Vasileiadis. As a veteran in talent acquisition and a successful serial entrepreneur, Mr. Vasileiadis brings valuable expertise to the organization.
That same year, we also launched our brand-new platform, designed with cutting-edge technology. This milestone was achieved by our newly established in-house product team, dedicated to delivering innovative solutions tailored to modern recruitment needs.
Human Factor acquisition 
kariera.gr acquires Human Factor, a boutique HR firm with a strong executive search team and advanced tech solutions, serving major 
clients and significantly enhancing kariera.gr’s market presence and service offerings.

Kariera Group, the newly formed organization that emerged from Kariera S.A.'s acquisition of CareerBuilder L.L.C.'s entities in the United Kingdom, France, Germany, Vietnam, Singapore, and the United Arab Emirates, establishes a powerful presence in these international markets.
